Thoughts on AntiChrist

Instead of wild theories let us start with the source

Revelation 13 (King James Version)
Revelation 13
1And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
11And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Later passages of Revelations seem to indicate the beast is a singular entity and not a collection of countries. Rev 20:10and Rev 19:20.

Looking at some other sources, it would seem likely that the woman is the vatican but she is not the beast for she is consumed by the beast. This would seem to work in that the RC Church could be seem to placate any enemy and then be decieved and destroyed by that enemy.

However, I confess I have much to learn on this topic.

I pulled this from another blog site

William L. Irwin Says:

I believe that a failure to interpret World War 2 correctly from a prophetic perspective has caused a very serious problem. I believe that it is much later prophetically speaking than many people realize.I personally believe that the Holy See becoming independent in 1929(little horn)was all part of a plan that gave them the appearance of neutrality during World War 2. The Holy See gave full support to the Nazi Third Reich,Mussolini and the Vichy Government of France as well as other countries aligned with the Nazi Third Reich. The Holy See also supported the fascist government of Franco’s Spain. The problem was, THEY LOST World War 2, the Holy See never got the empire it wanted. So a NEW design was made.I believe the little horn(the HOLY SEE)is behind the E.U. and it is those two horns the Holy See and the E.U. that make up the two horned beast of Rev.13. I believe that mainline prophecy teachers have missed the mark concerning Bible Prophecy and the flock is in a general state of ignorance concerning Bible Prophecy. An entire phase of Bible Prophecy(ww2) has already happened and has gone virtually unrecognized for what it truly was. Israel becoming a nation in 1948 is prophetic THEREFORE the war just before it is also(ww2). With those thoughts in mind now look at the Holy See and the E.U. A Queen of Heaven Flag and a Tower of Babel which happens to be an eikon(image Rev.13) with pneuma(life Rev.13).In a short while the rest will be fulfilled and many so called Christians will be standing around wondering how it all happened! That is because they are looking for something NOW that happened over sixty years ago and was not understood then or now for what it really was! That’s right,in my opinion an entire phase of Bible Prophecy has happened already and has not been recognized. The Tower of Babel has been rebuilt and most people don’t even know about it and if they do THEIR OWN THEOLOGY BLINDS THEM as to what it really is!Most people have no idea that the Lawful Seat of the E.U. Parliament is in the eikon of the Tower of Babel in Strasbourg,France. In closing, all 10 knew the BRIDEGROOM was coming but half of them had the door slammed in their faces.

Revelations 12 - An interpretation (1998)

Rev. 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
Rev. 12:2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
The woman with the crown of twelve stars is symbolic of the nation of Israel.
The crown represents the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The crown represents Jesus in His role as He rules the nations of the earth with a rod of iron.
The twelve stars represent those who will be His “apostles” at His second coming. They will be His deputy rulers, deployed around the world and will be the judges that will be in control of the nations.
These twelve apostles will meet Jesus at Mount Zion and be with him where ever he goes:

Rev. 14:4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

Each apostle will consist of 12,000 Israeli from each of the 12 tribes of Israel.
These are the 144,000 that are sealed and redeemed by God. These Israeli in their role as deputy rulers under the leadership of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords will rule the earth with a “rod of iron.”
In verse 2 the woman, travailing in birth, is a mother-to-be. She is about to give birth, thus the pains of birth are growing more intense and closer together. This symbolizes that the deliverance of the nation of Israel is near. God will soon confirm His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He will soon gather the Israelites from the four corners of the earth and return them to the Promised Land.
****************************************

Rev 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
This great red dragon is the symbol Satan. The red is symbolic of the wrath of Satan. He is literally boiling with rage because he has been ejected from heaven.
Knowing that his time is short, Satan brings this wrath to earth to inflict upon the twelve tribes of Israel, symbolized by the woman.
The seven heads with the 7 crowns represent 7 nations. Five of these nations are the ancient enemies of Israel who will have a major part in the invasion of the Middle East with Gog and Magog, Russia. (Ezekiel 38)
The 6th nation is India who is an abomination to God because of her worship of false gods and idols. India also holds cattle as sacred and has a caste system that is an abomination to God.
The 7th head represents the nation of Gomer, modern day Germany. Germany is the nation from which the Beast (Antichrist) will originate. The ten horns represent the nations of the resurrected Roman Empire.
**************************************

Rev 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
One third of the stars of heaven symbolize one third of the angels that joined Lucifer/Satan in his rebellion against God. These fallen angels are cast out of heaven just as Satan was cast out.
Again, note that the dragon is the symbol of Satan. Thus he stands before the woman (Nation of Israel) ready to devour (completely destroy) her child (symbol of born-again Israel returning to the Promised Land). Satan is determined to devour born-again Israel before God’s covenant with Israel can be fulfilled.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him (Nicodemus), Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
***************************************

Rev 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

The man-child, who was to rule all nations, was brought forth 2000 years ago in the little town of Bethlehem. Thirty-three years later he was crucified on a cross, and shortly thereafter ascended to heaven.
It is quite clear that the visions of John the apostle are for events which will take place in the future, not of any events that occurred prior to the time of his visions.

Rev. 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

Rev. 1:2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

This vision, given to John the apostle, is symbolic of the 2nd coming of Jesus. At this time Israel (the woman) recognizes Him as the one they pierced 2000 years ago. Thus Israel is now a born-again nation (represented by the new pregnancy). And her child (born-gain Israel) is caught up unto God, as all Christians are “caught up”, with the desire to serve Him and glorify His name.
Referring to Rev. 14:4 the first fruits of “born again Israel” are the 144,000 sealed Israeli who will, under the authority of Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, rule the nations of the earth with a “rod of iron.”
Since this vision is of the time after the return of Jesus, He has assumed the throne of David. Israel has now recognized Him as their Messiah. As born-again Christians, Israel is now anointed with the Holy Spirit.
This all takes place after the final battle of Armageddon, the only inhabitants of the earth are Christians; all unrighteousness has been removed.
**************************************

Rev. 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

During the final 3½ years of the tribulation, the woman (Israel) will be under the divine protection of God. The wilderness, as depicted in this vision of John the apostle, is symbolic of the isolation she will endure because of the armies of the world which greatly out number her and surround her on all sides.
The woman will be divinely protected and fed for the duration of the Great Tribulation, the final 3½ years of the tribulation.
*****************************************

Rev. 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
Rev. 12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
Rev. 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Rev. 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

The first three verses need no interpretation. There was a war in heaven. Satan and his fallen angels were defeated. Satan and his fallen angels were cast out of heaven to return no more.
Because Satan and his fallen angels are now ejected from heaven, never to return, he shall never again be an accuser of God’s people.
Salvation has come. God has taken over the rule of earth from Satan who has been in control for six thousand years, since Adam and Eve transgressed in the Garden of Eden. This is the same point in time as Rev. 10:3 when God anoints our savior, Jesus of Nazareth, to become King of Kings, Lord of Lords to rule the kingdoms of the earth with a rod of iron.

Rev. 10:3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices, “This is My Son in Whom I am well pleased, hear him ye.”
These are the same anointing words God used 2000 years ago in Jordan when Jesus of Nazareth was anointed by his Father.
Also these are the same words God used on The Mountain of the Transfiguration when Jesus was anointed The Crucified Christ, Head of the Church and the Temple that was rebuilt in three days.
***********************************************

Rev. 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Rev. 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Those in heaven rejoice; Satan has been cast out, never to return. Satan comes to earth having great wrath, knowing that his time is numbered. He brings with him one third of the angels that joined him in his rebellion against God.
God’s people, the Church, overcome Satan and his demons. They overcome him by the blood of Jesus Christ and the word of God. God’s elect fear not for their lives. Many go to their death refusing to bend a knee to Satan.
***********************************************

Rev. 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
Rev. 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Verse 12:13 is the same point in time as is verse 12:4.
This second vision, of the same events, of John the apostle is used by God to emphasize that from the time Satan is ejected from heaven until the time of the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ, the focus of Satan will be on the destruction of Israel.
By this time God has confirmed His covenant with the gentiles and the rapture of the church has occurred. The time of the gentiles is ended. Satan is focusing on the destruction of Israel and God is focusing on the redemption of Israel.
As stated earlier, Satan is persecuting the woman (Israel) who brought forth the man-child (born-again Israel).
The two wings of the “great eagle” symbolize the divine intervention of God providing her with protection and nourishment for the final 3½ years of the tribulation. As mentioned earlier, the wilderness is symbolic of the armies of the nations of the world which greatly out number and surround her.
*************************************************

Rev 12:15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
Rev. 12:16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

Verse 15 is symbolic of an all out attack on vastly out numbered Israel forces. They came like a flood, trying to over run Israel by sheer numbers.
However, because of the divine intervention of God, the ground opened up and swallowed the forces sent forth by the serpent, Satan. This is an earthquake that swallows up the enemies of Israel.
**************************************************

Rev. 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

The dragon, Satan, is highly frustrated by his vain attempts to destroy the divinely protected woman, Israel. Thus he turns his attention to the remnants of her seed, the Messianics.
God’s covenant with the gentiles is 2,000 years old. God’s covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is 4,000 years old. Thus the covenant with the seed of Abraham takes precedence.
Those Israelites who are Christians will not take part in the rapture of the church. However, with the rapture of the church, the Holy Spirit also departs the earth. All Christians who remain behind will be fully anointed by the Holy Spirit.
These Israelites, the Messianics, are the remnant of the woman’s (Israel’s) seed referred to in this verse.
********************************************

Rev. 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

This verse indicates that from the time of the rapture the gospel will be preached from heaven. No longer will there be any need for one person to teach another.
********************************************
1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

*********************************
No interpretation of any dream or vision is adequately explained unless every symbol in the dream, or vision, is accounted for. Generally a dream is interpreted for the person who had it. If the explanation of the dream fits into the life or personality, then the dreamer generally knows if it is a true interpretation or not. However, since this is a vision of prophecy, in this case, it is in the eyes of the beholder to determine if it is acceptable. Needless to say, anyone who reads this interpretation has probably got his own ideas and is comfortable with them. I have no argument with anyone about this. Indeed, it really makes little difference what or who we believe, it is not going to change the outcome of God’s plan, or change our destiny, in any way.
